Commercial buildings representing Florida construction projects

Common questions

Frequently asked questions.

Licensing, delivery model, Orlando operations, and process — what owners and partners usually need before the first call.

What does a general contractor do on a Florida commercial project?

A general contractor holds single-point accountability for bidding, trade buyout, scheduling, quality, safety, and closeout. Geromel Construction is a Florida Certified General Contractor (CGC 1535341) delivering that role for multifamily, commercial, hospitality, banking, and civic work from our Orlando headquarters.

What is the difference between construction management and general contracting?

Construction management (CM) advises the owner on cost, schedule, and constructability — often with open-book trade bidding. General contracting (GC) typically takes contractual responsibility for delivering the work. We offer both, plus preconstruction, so the delivery method matches your risk profile and capital plan.

Do you offer design/build and preconstruction services in Florida?

Yes. We support budgeting, design coordination, value engineering, scheduling, and procurement planning from day one — including active design-build and preconstruction work in Winter Garden and Orlando.

Where are your primary operations?

Florida is our primary market, headquartered at 189 S Orange Ave, Suite 1250, Orlando. We actively work in Orlando, Winter Garden, and Jacksonville, and selectively support national opportunities when the program fits.

Are you a licensed general contractor in Florida?

Yes. Geromel Construction holds Florida Certified General Contractor license CGC 1535341. The license number is published on our site and should match procurement and lender verification requests.

What sectors do you specialize in?

Mixed-use and multifamily, hospitality and entertainment, office and commercial shell, high-rise and senior living, banking branches, civic / institutional, and custom residential — with emphasis on high-complexity, high-standard programs.

How do you manage quality and safety?

Through structured QA/QC programs, documented field protocols, and senior superintendents on every job site. Risks are named early; progress is visible to owners and lenders.

How does an engagement typically start?

A discovery call, a site walk if applicable, then a preconstruction roadmap aligned to your proforma, program, and schedule. We reply to inbound within one business day.
